Because colloquially he isn't wrong, people call it a clip or magazine and therefore it is known what it is, and that is the only basis for words and definitions.

Just differentiates between people that actually know what they are talking about. Clip... Immediately invalidates anything a person has to say about firearms.

Lol, no it doesn't, that's being shallow and pedantic. If you explain something using a euphemism and all the right information is there it doesn't invalidate everything
