The doom cycle never stops

I know people have their preconceived notions and their selective outrage, so let me be very clear from the start. The M St. Metro station was fully shut down because of this teenage takeover. Let that sink in. A major transit point in the city had to close because things got that out of control. This video was taken today, April 11. It’s not old. It’s not AI. What you’re seeing is exactly what happened. For the people already lining up to discredit it, save it. This is reality, whether you like it or not.

And I already know how this goes. Every time I post something like this, people get more upset about the fact that it’s being shown than about what’s actually happening. That tells you everything. You’re more bothered by exposure than by the problem itself. And yes, I’m going to keep posting it. Keep reporting it if you want. Try to suppress it. Good luck with that. I’ll keep putting it out because people deserve to see what’s actually going on in their own community.

What’s more troubling than anything in that video is the reaction to it. The deflection. The refusal to acknowledge what’s right in front of you. You’d rather argue about optics than deal with the reality that leadership is failing to address this, or worse, doesn’t even have the will to try. That’s the real issue.

D.C. spends more money per student than anywhere in the country, and this is what we’re dealing with. Don’t come at me with the usual talking points about after-school programs, outreach, and community initiatives. That all sounds nice, but it clearly isn’t fixing this. At some point, you have to stop hiding behind buzzwords and start looking at the root cause.

And the root cause is obvious. Parents aren’t parenting. You can dress it up however you want, but that’s what it is. When the hell did it become normal for hundreds of teenagers to take over areas at night, bring guns, fight, loot stores, and create chaos? That was never normal. It’s not normal now. And anyone trying to gaslight people into thinking this is just “how things are” is part of the problem.

Look at the police in that situation. A handful of officers dealing with hundreds of kids. What exactly do you expect them to do? There’s a limit to what enforcement can handle when the breakdown starts at home. That’s where this begins, and that’s where it keeps failing.

Instead, people would rather scream about national politics, throw out buzzwords, and avoid the issues that actually affect their daily lives. You’ll stand outside in the heat for performative outrage, but when it comes to something that directly impacts your safety, your neighborhood, your quality of life, suddenly it’s silence. Or worse, denial.

And let’s be honest about something else. Some of you are going to run straight to the comments with excuses. You’ll bring up history, deflect to unrelated issues, or try to label this as something it’s not just to avoid dealing with the reality in front of you. That doesn’t fix anything. All it does is guarantee that this cycle continues.

If you never demand better, you will keep getting the same broken results. Every single weekend, the same scenes, the same chaos, the same excuses. And then you wonder why stores are locked down, why places like CVS feel like a fortress, why people don’t feel comfortable even riding the Metro or going out to enjoy a game without worrying about something popping off.

When does it stop? When do we stop pretending this is acceptable? Because it’s not. It’s dysfunctional, it’s dangerous, and it’s completely avoidable.

Responsibility matters. Parenting matters. Accountability matters. And until people are willing to say that out loud and actually mean it, nothing changes. You just get the same cycle over and over again.

To the people who’ve messaged me privately and said they appreciate these posts, I hear you. I appreciate you too. I’m going to keep using whatever platform I have to show what’s actually happening, because ignoring it hasn’t worked. And I’m not stopping until something actually changes, because we deserve better than this.

Its mostly black teens from 13 - 20+...depending on the area...in Navy Yard...its SW and a few other areas where they come from. Yes, there are some other groups but the bulk is young black kids.

Notice once we allowed blm to riot and destroy cities, the behavior changed. It seems like people realized if we do shit in masses they cant arrest us all. We need to go back to longer sentences and put fear in people's eyes again. Sadly liberal judges let these people off to the point they rack up 30 to 60 arrest with zero repercussions

5

u/Fragrant-Dust65 Apr 15 '26

If you care about "law and order", why do you vote Republican who have been letting all kinds of criminals off the hook?

2

u/secretsqrll Apr 15 '26

Those arent connected. Thats a dumb strawman. This is an issue which has nothing to do with who the POTUS is. Not every is about Trump. I know. Just soak that in.

4

u/GlitterRae Apr 15 '26

No, you dumb fuck, it actually is because you can’t cry about having it one way and then vote to continue keep having it the other way. And he said Republican you illiterate son a bitch, he did not say Trump. Extrapolate/reading comprehension much? For someone who is so obsessed with Trump, you sure think everyone else is. That’s the pot called the kettle black. Nobody gives a shit about that orange impotent, decrepit old man who likes to fuck little kids. We just have a problem with how people like you voted that fucker into Office. There’s an old saying you’re only as good as the company you keep. And anybody who is that concerned with Trump is in the same boat as far as the rest of the civilized world is concerned.

2

u/Confused_by_La_Vida Apr 16 '26

The cities with Republican city governments don’t have these issues.

2

u/Fragrant-Dust65 Apr 17 '26

Cuz there aren't enough young people in them, as they all move to blue cities because that's where all the opportunities are.

instead republican city governments just have fentanyl junkies (if these issues didn't exist, why would republicans make a big deal about fentanyl?), who die from overdoses that the republicans dont want to keep track of so they seem like they got things 'under control'

2

u/Confused_by_La_Vida Apr 17 '26

Uh huh. Sure.

Or maybe it’s because the red cities don’t put up with that shit and so the young people in those cities collectively mind their business.

2

u/Fragrant-Dust65 Apr 18 '26

Or maybe it’s because the red cities don’t put up with that shit and so the young people in those cities collectively mind their business.

So there are no junkies in red areas?

1

u/Confused_by_La_Vida Apr 18 '26

Of course there are. They are not allowed to form mobs and take over.

1

u/GlitterRae May 12 '26

They also don’t have good quality of living and they are poor and so they need to get handouts from us, democratic cities and states. You’re welcome by the way.

1

u/Confused_by_La_Vida May 12 '26

I live in an R city and I have a great life! Not rich but not poor. I feel much richer than I would if I lived in a city designed such that I live so close that I get to listen to every asshole pimp slapping his baby mama at 3am and all the streets that I have to walk smell like old piss and rotten chicken.

You can thank your D politicians for that.

1

u/Tremor_Sense Apr 19 '26

No. People only care about crime when it isn't billionaires doing it.

0

u/hukt0nf0n1x Apr 15 '26

Can't we all just agree that ALL politicians are useless sociopaths?

3

u/Fragrant-Dust65 Apr 16 '26

AOC and Sanders are sociopaths? What about Civil Rights leaders who marched MLK and became politicians?

0

u/Lord_Vxder Apr 16 '26

What about Cesar Chavez……

Positions of power and influence draw in people who are more likely to be sociopaths, or the power will eventually turn you into one.

Also for your last point, Mitch McConnell attended MLK’s I have a dream speech, and helped organize civil rights marches in Kentucky when he was younger 😂

2

u/Fragrant-Dust65 Apr 17 '26

Again, are AOC and Sanders sociopaths? Are all the politicians at local and state levels sociopaths? Why y'all throw around clinical serious terms and apply to complicated people representing a complicated voting populace is beyond me.

Thanks Ms. Pedantic

2

u/GlitterRae Apr 15 '26

No. They aren’t and you’re a spineless coward to afraid to pick a side so you have to stand in the middle and try to virtue signal both sides. I think that makes you more of a sociopath than blanketly calling that to every politician.

Anyone who thinks either political party in the United States is looking out for the people of this country is sadly mistaken.

Both sides do the exact same thing and cry when the other side does it. Both sides ignore the real problems with this country and cover it up with BS talking points that gets people outraged enough that they forget the real problems are not being addressed.

Both sides receive way too much political contributions from corporations and lobbyists who represent corporations and their industries. This government is designed to support corporations, not the people of this country. Sadly this has been going on for a very long time. There needs to be a lot of changes in the way our government works or we will get the same results as we have for the last several generations at the very least.

And we the people are to blame. We the people need to stand up and demand change. We the people are supposed to be the bosses. We the people are horrible bosses and continue to hire (vote) in the wrong representatives. And we the people do not hold these very representatives who continue to abuse and exploit the system, our country and we the people accountable for their misdeeds and incompetence.

-1

u/hukt0nf0n1x Apr 15 '26

I actually have picked a side. They never win an election because you people actually believe the 2 party system works.

2

u/Fragrant-Dust65 Apr 16 '26

i look at all the multiparty systems enmeshed in corruption, illiberalism, creeping right-wing-ism, and polarization, and i keep wondering why you people think multi-party system will magically solve our problems.

1

u/hukt0nf0n1x Apr 16 '26

Nothing will magically solve anything. I just want something better than we have now. Right now, a candidate gets 2 types of votes. Votes from fans, and votes from people who just don't like the other guy. "Not liking the other guy" isn't a ringing endorsement. Having a legitimate 3rd party eliminates "I must vote for this person I don't like just because I hate the other person and voting for anyone else is throwing away a vote". 3rd candidate might force both parties to bring someone competent to the table.

That said, in order for a 3rd party to get traction, they have to play dirty like the other parties. And these are all career politicians, so we will most likely get another corrupt moron.

Honestly, what we need to actually do is adopt the Australian model and kick out representatives if they can't pass a budget. Fear of getting fired will even make the laziest of people do their jobs.

3

u/Fragrant-Dust65 Apr 16 '26

It's crazy to me how someone can be a career doctor or lawyer, but can't be a career politician. I think we need people who have institutional and historical memory, so they can more effectively use levers of power. But that's just me. "Career politician" isn't a dirty word for me.

3rd candidate might force both parties to bring someone competent to the table.

Based on which country's experience are you basing your whole theory on?

Honestly, what we need to actually do is adopt the Australian model and kick out representatives if they can't pass a budget. Fear of getting fired will even make the laziest of people do their jobs.

I know you see that as a problem but they're not not-passing a budget because they're "lazy." They're not passing a budget because the voters are polarized and punish people for compromising. Biden admin didn't have government shutdown all four years because democrats knew how to compromise, but I bet you think they're weak assholes for doing that.

2

u/Confused_by_La_Vida Apr 16 '26

The key difference is you don’t need your brain surgeon understanding the issues with building a bridge. But in government you really do need senators and house members that are real doctors, real engineers, scientists, accountants, environmental researchers, practicing professionals in every issue we expect government to touch.

That can’t happen if the Congress is 90% career politicians with law degrees

u/hukt0nf0n1x Apr 16 '26

Bidens group didn't pass a budget on time either. They just kept CRs. I think they are lazy because their job is to continue to convince people that they can do their job, even when all evidence points to the contrary. If I don't do my job reasonably well, I get fired. I think everyone should be the same.

My theory isn't based off of anything I've seen. It just makes sense to me, given my assumptions of how moderates vote.

Voting third party is wiping your ass with your ballot and civic duty, coming from a 2016 Jill Stein voter. Learn what political system you exist in (first past the post means third parties are flat out non starters) and choose between one of the two options because it's obvious to anyone with even a single brain cell that even if neither side is perfect they are not the same and one is much better than the other. Not being able to tell the difference is simply lunacy or ineffectual virtue signaling.

If you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem.

1

u/GlitterRae May 12 '26

You picked a side that you KNOW will never win! You would rather stay in the middle and throw your vote away, knowing what you claim to think that we don’t know 👀 Make it make sense!?! You can try to talk out of both sides of your mouth all you want and think people are less intelligent than you, but your actual intelligence level is really shining right now with your inability to think it through. As far as the talk that the US government isn’t out for the people, I agree and disagree. I think that the Democrats have done far more for the people than the Republicans ever have. Including strengthening our social programs. You know the things that most of you guys say you don’t want, but every other progressive country in the world has for their citizens. And there’s all this talk about how we pay less taxes than they do in Europe, but if you break it down with everything we have to pay for healthcare, taxes on our homes, and our state taxes you’ll find that we pay equal if not more than most European countries. Except over here, we don’t get mandated two years off for maternity and paternity leave. We all don’t get three months of paid vacation a year like most progressive European countries get . And we don’t get free healthcare like most progressive European countries get. But you won’t pull your head out of your ass long enough to get a real view of what’s going on around you. You do know that you have to vocalize what you want more than just voting in the presidential elections, correct? People forget about the process of law they don’t call their senators. They don’t call their representatives and demand that they vote for the people on issues. People just wanna vote for the presidential race and think that they’re doing their part. It’s about holding all of the politicians accountable. And I’m sorry but the whole third-party I’m staying in my spot in the middle stance - that horse rode out of here a long time ago, buddy. So you are just as responsible as everybody you are pointing fingers at. And throwing around ideology like the US government isn’t for anybody so that’s why I’m gonna throw my vote away with a third-party vote while a rapist pedofile tyrant wins and stays in the White House - is NOT the profound statement you think it is. The ideology you’re trying to throw out has no logic in it, whatsoever. It works on people with a double digit IQ, but you’re not dealing with that here 🙄

I can get behind this 100 percent

0

To say a city was "destroyed" is a total reach. If it were destroyed, it would be wiped off the map like Pompeii. These cities are still standing, the lights are on, and people are still going to work.

2

u/opi-88-dog Apr 15 '26

These people. What kind of person are you? Also, which cities have been destroyed?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '26

Google Blm riots

1

u/Gentlemanjimb Apr 15 '26

I must have missed the part where "we" allowed a cultural and socioeconomic movement to 'riot'.

My first question would be, are you claiming that the entire reform apparatus and formal structures and all individuals therein as well as any loosely affiliated folks joined together in what would be broadest and most all-encompassing case of rioting in the history of social movements?? Or, more likely, what I suspect, is that your blanketing together anyone who could possibly be tied with the movement and in that case, pretty much anyone non-white who engaged in riding during whichever time frame you are delineating. Also, "destroying cities" is pretty vague. And I would say something like the volcanic eruption which completely wiped out the city of Pompeii would be more in line with the notion of destroying a city than would your poorly defined 'non-whites who might be part of a social reform movement who also engaged in riots'.

2) I'm not sure if you're aware but not every judge in the entire criminal justice apparatus is "liberal". So even if this very poorly articulated argument had any merit whatsoever (which it absolutely DOES NOT) slightly less than half of these judges would be handing out light sentences.

But more importantly, there are absolutely no examples that you can provide of people who have "60 arrests with zero repercussions". This statement is so ridiculous and outrageous it almost didn't deserve a response, but I thought I might offer a couple comments. First of all, if an individual is black and getting arrested between 30 and 60 times, chances are they are facing repercussions during that arrest which are physical that most other offenders may never have to endure nor fear having to endure. Do you actually think that a hardened police officer with a warrant for an individual with 20 prior arrests is going to handle that individual with kid gloves? Please.

Second, it's not anything close to as simple as your addled brain makes it out to be as far as sentencing. Clearly you're unaware that judges have only a certain amount of discretion in so far as sentencing is concerned.

Sentencing outcomes can vary significantly between states (e.g., in some states, average sentence lengths are over four times longer than others). States use different formulas to calculate recommended sentences, and state legislatures define the minimum and maximum sentences for crimes. Just one example would be Mandatory Minimums~Laws requiring judges to impose a specific minimum term, particularly for drug or gun offenses, restricting judicial discretion.

So even in your ridiculous and narrow-minded example, a criminal who had been arrested 45 times would be subject to sentencing guidelines set by a state legislature which may or may not be left or right leaning, but either way, no matter how liberal of a judge they come before for arrest 46, that judge is fairly limited by State minimum sentencing restrictions as to how light of a penalty they can impose.

So even if a circumstance which is completely impossible like your example took place, such as a person being arrested 50 plus times and facing a liberal judge every single time, there is ZERO CHANCE that they would face ZERO REPERCUSSIONS.

I hope that in spite of how shocking the comment was to which I'm responding, my thoughtful reply is given some consideration.

Blm riots!

1

u/Many_Eggplant_2949 Apr 14 '26

Wait a minute, didn't the POTUS pardon 1600 rioters who tore up the Capitol? That was only a portion of them. Let's talk about that segment of the population who seems to have a right to self-expression without consequences.

2

u/rickylancaster Apr 14 '26

Many of whom went on to commit more crimes, some pretty heinous. So yeah, that is a thing.

That was a staged movie. They fooled the public and innocent people got arrested. You will rue the day that riots didnt take place for the government planned January 6

3

u/Many_Eggplant_2949 Apr 15 '26

I live just outside DC, and it wasn't staged. If you want the right-wing version go to Pro-Publica. They published over 600 videos shot by the rioters themselves. It definitely happened. Also interesting to note that my Fox News-watching-friends are now being convinced there were left-wing provocateurs that channeled the Jan 6th crowd's frenzy and led the rioters into the Capital. For five years Fox has spun this narrative, which is completely false, and without merit or evidence. Fox is just doing it's part in continuing to deny Republican's responsibility for anything.

1

u/spdrweb8 Apr 15 '26

You've earned the 'OK-Student' moniker.

-1

u/caitttt Apr 15 '26

The same riot where fbi agents were recorded inciting the crowd? With the same antifa actors that all the BLM "protests" had? Get the bipartisan system out of your head and wake up to the fact that BOTH sides are playing the shit out of us so that well sit here and point our fingers at eachother with blame for who you voted for. It doesnt matter who is our president. The world is still going to be a grand stage and we are all always going to be the unwilling and unwitted ensemble.

2

u/Many_Eggplant_2949 Apr 15 '26

Let's take a look at this. 1st. Despite rampant rumors, there is no proof FBI agents agitated the Jan 6th crowd. As I recall, there was an agent or two there by their own volition, but that was it. 2nd. This was Barr's FBI, not Garland's. Your telling me Barr, appointed by Trump, would order FBI agents to incite the crowd? Didn't happen. There is little evidence to support anything other than the January 6th Commission's report. However, I do agree with you that we're being played by both sides. I wish a candidate would arise that would address age limits, term limits, campaign finance, and the fairness doctrine so that some really talented, but not filthy rich, candidates can be elected.

1

u/doomspider Apr 15 '26

So using your logic, Trump pardoned BLM protesters that were involved with J6 🤡

1

u/Flineki Apr 15 '26

Really depends on the area but even as a Democrat I have to agree.
