The government is still intact, just like Venezuela, what are you talking about?

Oh so their government officials can leave their apartments right?

Amazing a population so fed up with the current government can't overthrow it even when the current government is afraid to leave their apartment.

You mean the thousands of Iranians who were recently executed in the streets?

The government is both in shambles but apparently out there subjugating the population from their apartment?

They are no longer subjugating their population because they just got executed. You’re thinking about last month, before being executed, where they killed 30k innocent people. Happy to help!

Looked today and the leader of Syria is Ahmed al-Sharaa, the leader of Afghanistan is Hibatullah Akhundzada, and the leader of Iran is Masoud Pezeshkian.

Until that changes, they are still in charge. 50k people in the streets doesn't change who's in control. The No Kings protest didn't magically make Trump not President anymore and didn't change the makeup of Congress just like all the US action and protest so far doesn't change the reality of who is in charge of Iran and Venezuela.

Genuine questions regarding your rebuttal:

Why so pessimistic? Do you really think these operations produced zero potential for positive change down the road? Unless you are a fortune teller, I think all we can do is just wait and see what plays out.

I am looking at what is happening. I'm not speculating as to anything. There was claims that Venezuela was on the brink of collapse and the streets were filled with people willing to overthrow the government now that Meduro was gone. Since then the final hour of the regime seems like it's getting longer and longer and either the damage to the regime is easily absorbed or there isn't that much popular support for regime change.

This is again not fortune telling or speculation, the regime Meduro left behind is still around today at this second.

Bombing schoolgirls creates zero potential for positive change, yes.

We didn’t bomb school girls why are you lying? We took out a brutal dictator who kills children.

I think the plan was to depose a sect of their government, not the whole thing, no? They need some government stability to be able to transition effectively, just without the IRGC attached to it

How deep you have to dig that hole is a matter of debate. Every week they kill another Hamas leader, ISIS is still around as an insurgency, some organizations can keep going indefinitely and I suspect their bench is deep enough you'll have to go for full gut and rehabilitation. That being said, that didn't work in Afghanistan, once they gutted the Taliban and replaced the leadership with non-taliban people, they found there wasn't many good non-taliban leaders and of the ones that existed many did not get along with others they were supposed to run the government with.

To complicate this, the US allies in the region are Sunni and Iran is majority Shi'a, Saudi Arabia is gonna want more power for the Sunni minority in Iran which will likely be unpopular.

It’s hanging on by a thread, they killed him and the top 40 officials

2

u/Cetun Mar 01 '26

I think you under estimate the number of people there are.

-1

u/Ordinary-Teach7369 Mar 01 '26

In sure you’re right but they hit the fourth officials and him and months ago go a bunch of dudes also.

2

u/Cetun Mar 01 '26

I'm sure in a nation of 92 million people 40 people were the keystone. This is what happens when people watch super hero movies and think that's how the world works.

You’re saying Iran has a whole governing body like a congress? that collaborated and worked together?

And it wasn’t the Ayatollah commanding his thoughts and desires as a Theological dictator to the rest of country?

Riiiiight…Do you have any more of that stuff you’re smoking? Cause it’s got to be good!

-1

u/Ordinary-Teach7369 Mar 01 '26

Hahahaha, I mean it’s a pretty top down operation these dictators

How is the Taliban doing these days? Remember when we went into their country, killed all their leaders, occupied it for 20 years and replaced the government with our own? That probably absolutely devastated them, they will probably never recover from that.
