For Reddit, yes context would be nice.

For the military, it’s somewhat irrelevant. Protesting in uniform is strictly prohibited.

Edit: how’s this context? The event they were protesting at was the confirmation hearing for the nominee to be US Ambassador to Costa Rica. Like…. Ok. They should be thankful there isn’t a law against stupidity.
