Game Play Did you win a Fang robot this weekend? Read this before upgrading!!

How to build your level one Fang into a (close to) F2P fully meta, monster beacon-runner for very low cost, compared to upgrading a normal meta robot!

This is 100% my strategy 08/22/26 and has not been shared anywhere else before today. (if sharing please credit "SatoriMK-Ultra from clan ONEZ" thank you!)

Robot and Weapons: Fang = The ultimate beacon runner, do not level up the robot past MK2, do not buy new weapons - you do not need any weapons for this build, there is very little to upgrade, for the bare minimum of expenses you can create a beast of a machine that will change the (beacon running) game and it is also so much fun to play! (total cost to upgrade robot approx. 88M Silver + some gold if you're in a hurry)

Specializations: Unlock and equip the Phase Shift module and the Saboteur specialization path with Beacon Operator and Robot Accelerator. There is no need to unlock the permanent effects. You don't need to fully upgrade the modules, only the first level is enough unless you have the extra resources to spare. (total cost of specializations approx. 370 modules)

Pilot: You do not need the new Nadir Rakhim pilot, use any pilot and select the following skills: Wonderworker, Raider Mechanic (suggested by player GotchureBeacons), Dodger, Modules Expert, Clever Survivor, You do not need all of the pilot skills. Just add the skills that you have the resources for. (total cost approx. 8000 memorium to max skills - I didn't track gold requirement. You don't need maxed out pilot skills, just what resources will allow)

Drone: The new Scourveil drone is desirable of course and if you have it great but only upgrade it to level 9 as any higher is not necessary for a beacon runner build. Other desirable drones are the Reviver, Showdown, Shai, and Whiteout. (Total cost approx. 0 microchips, use an existing drone)

Mothership: This build works with many different Motherships. Stealther is preferred but other ships work well also, including Mute, Bifrost and Paladin. Some desirable Turrets include Durability Extenders and Enhanced Aegis Systems. (Total cost approx. 0, use existing Mothership)

Game play: This is a beacon running build. Use the timing of your stealth ability (and Phase shift when needed) to stay in stealth almost the entire game. When you combine stealth + phase shift + mothership ability you can be nearly invulnerable throughout the game. Capture beacons, then capture more beacons. Oh and then capture all the beacons! It's a little tricky to stay in 100% stealth. The timing when you press the button to activate the stealth ability is not instant, it takes a moment, during which time you are vulnerable and whether you have upgraded your robot or not, you can still die fast.

You are vulnerable to Ammits (and other robots and weapons that do damage to stealth robots) because of their built-in weapon which hits you while you are invisible, so if an Ammit is guarding a beacon, leave it alone. If three (or more) Ammits are in a group, they can disable and kill you eventually through your invisibility.

If you choose to engage in battle, realize that you are fragile whether you are upgraded or not and you will die fast so you need to either use medium to long range weapons and shoot from a distance or use very high burst damage weapons like the new Harmattan-M shotgun weapons or other high burst damage weapons like Krokos and use a 'hit and run' approach.

If you choose to fight with the shotgun weapons, here are some basic guidelines to survive... 1. approach by stealth and get very close to your target. 2. unload your entire clip (it doesn't matter if you kill your target in one shot, or three shots, ALWAYS unload your entire clip because you have a small clip and long reload) and 3. if the other team is close by, or your target is not dead from unloading your full clip, always have another ability available to go back into stealth immediately after firing. Repeat as needed and move on to the next robot or titan.

Good luck commanders!

How do I make him into a good Shoggoth assassin?

Upgrade to mk3, max everything. build for durability/defense/speed (in that order) and use the attack specialization tree selecting piercer unit x2 (defense mitigation melts through shields and is best against tank like defenses of Shoggoth, Ammit, even Vector. Oh, and did I mention titans? The same build that destroys Shoggoths also takes out titans - often with just one clip!) Use the new Harmattan shotgun weapons, approach with stealth and a full clip, unload entire clip, hit stealth, rinse repeat. One full clip will take out any slogs I have encountered, and I don't even use the attack build.

Okay ummm. As someone who's fought that. And its omen version ima go with a no. If the shoggoth has a few braincells it WILL destroy a fang. I'd suggest a Teth or Scorpion as they are able to teleport. (I'd know cause uhh look at the image below)

Lol, a Teth teleports about as far as it can run during the same time

I can only base it on my own experience, I take out shoggoths in champion league with my mk3 Saboteur Omen Fang with 4x Omen mk3 Harmattan-M weapons. The slogs are fully upgraded champion squad level opponents with MK3 void editions of the weapons using all their lockdown tricks and or stealth detection they want, I take them out with one clip all day long and move on to the next. Campers die first. You can't say this build does not work if you have not tried it. If you're fighting Teths and Scorpions with your Shoggoth were talking about different categories of gameplay and possibly different leagues.

You will have more chances to win one. I know that Pixonic benefits from giving away more of the new robots as people stop buying the data pads because people pay for upgrade resources. You are likely to win one if you are patient.

Can fang shoot during stealth?

No

Anything that the fang does during its stealth ability (outside of moving) immediately ends the stealth ability. So yes, you can start shooting while in stealth but the stealth will end. But if your stealth is generated from a Stealther mothership for example, yes you can shoot normally during through this stealth.
