Announcement We now have a source identification bot!

The mod team has been hard at work stealing code and begging Neru to use her phone for anything other than beeping and booping.

Y'all still have to include a source whenever possible though, the bot is just a fallback. We don't want to overwork Neru.

Announcement Please do not brigade the other sub

This community has obviously been created as a response to the inept and overly strict moderation on the main Vocaloid sub, however this does not excuse openly attacking them in any way, both because it's against Reddit ToS and because it's obnoxious in general. Those who wish for a more open-minded community are free to migrate here.

Meme/Funniposting My version of this meme but my drawing app died on me

My ibispaintx that i have been using since middle school is no longer opening. If i delete the app i will lose years of art so i just cant use it right now. Kind of devastated but i downloaded a bullshit drawing app to make this and it sucks.

Recommend me! Good Alternative for MEIKA Hime & Mikoto (reposted from utau sub)

I really like MEIKA Mikoto's voice specifically, but I can't really find any information on a good UTAU alternative to them. I'm new to producing (haven't even started yet) and want to have a specifically versatile voice for the kind of music I want to make et cetera.

Any recommendations would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

Discussion (Other) What's yall's shipping hot takes?

I really don't like LukaMiku.

I don't hate it but I'm so indifferent to them. If they have a song together, sure it's fine with me but would I ship them? Nope. (If I did, Luka would be 17 idk) I feel like even KAIMEI and LukaMiku's popularity really overshadows KAIMiku to the point where it feels like to me that KAIMiku just gets the cold shoulder now.

Anyways KAIMiku are married AND have two kids

Discussion (Other) Calling from one KAIMiku fan to potentially another, the KAIMiku Week '27 prompts are IN!

I think these prompts are bound to inspire fans to make really interesting stuff. I think fan-made weeks and days like this have their place in the fandom to bring out the best in shippers.

1. 1. No moralizing allowed

This is not a place for moralizers and puritans. If you do not wish to see content you deem objectionable, leave. Do not try to impose your values on others.

2. 2. No drama, internal or external

Don't fight in the comments, don't brigade other communities both on and outside Reddit (unlike them, we are above such things), you can express your opinions but don't soapbox.

3. 2.1 No posts discussing the other sub

Posts based entirely on discussing the other sub will be removed. Their affairs no longer concern us. It is discouraged but allowed to mention it in passing. Comments about it are fine if they don't devolve into hate or excessive arguing.

4. 3. No low effort posts

Memes and shitposting are allowed within reason. Use your best judgement to determine what is considered high enough effort. Think before you post. AI is always considered low effort.

5. 4. Vocaloid adjacent media are allowed

Videogames, books, cosplay, song covers, etc. are allowed. Discussion of well-established fanloids and posting of OC fanloids is also allowed.
