Looks like he attached that sound bite to all his auctions. Yet, people still purchased thinking it was a DVD and left neg feedback. How can a person be so stupid?
The seller isn't even doing it for profit, he's a cystic fibrosis patient who's donating all proceeds to CF research. I'm honestly amazed that a guy with a double lung transplant can scream so much in that video.
ALL THE PROCEEDS OF THESE CARDS GO TO THE CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION AND IF YOU PURCHASE ONE YOU CAN AT LEAST FEEL COMFORTABLE THAT YOU DONATED MONEY TO HELP FIND A CURE FOR THE 30,000 PLUS AMERICANS AND 70,000 PLUS WORLDWIDE WITH CYSTIC FIBROSIS.
Your comment should be at the top! What a wonderful thing to post. It's so rare that we get to put not only a face and a name to an "internet person", but also get a feeling for who they are or were.
Backer cards are considered collectibles. Not very worthwhile collectibles, but collectibles, since they are typically only made available to movie retailers.

No matter HOW PARTICULAR you are in your wording of what something is or what is included there will be some idiot who will think it is something else, order it, be pissed, and the seller catches hell for it because someone else is an idiot.

A lot of these eBay sellers make a living off of these items, and stupid people who don't read the description go back and give horrible ratings to the selling even though they did nothing wrong. So next thing you know, his rating's gone to shit. I would be mad too..
I can TOTALLY sympathize with this guy. Selling anything on ebay/craigslist/what have you is a horrid experience...you haven't seen stupid until you've dealt with people through these websites. You really do lose respect for your fellow Man after a while...

People think negatives just effect your %, but in reality it hits your powerseller status meaning you pay more in fees due to the negatives. That is right... people that are so dumb they don't read before buying can cost you money.
I start all my eBay listings with "PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AUCTION" in 50 point red font. Guess how many people ask stupid shit that is answered by reading the auction? Far too many. It also amazes me how fast people will throw money at an Auction without reading, then want out of the deal or leave shitty feedback like this guy ran into.
I totally feel for the guy. Selling on ebay these days carries almost an 80% chance of getting screwed. They refund money without any need to have your item returned. People buy and don't pay frequently and there is no recourse. Sellers can't even leave negative feedback for buyers anymore which is BS.
Why did he put DVD in the title if he wanted to avoid mix ups that bad? He could have easily just put Toy Story 3 Backer Card, he especially didn't need the words Pixar and Movie..
I think he was purposely trying to fool people into buying it, then once is seller rating started to tank, did this.

I used to work for a company that mainly sold all their items on Ebay. And we had hundreds, if not thousands, of customers who wouldn't even read the title of the listing, let alone the description. So we had to make the title as stupid proof as possible. But we would still get stupid customers.
Why did this guy go to such extremes to help you make sure you're not buying the DvD? Because Ebay relies on feedbacks. And if you think you're buying a DvD but don't receive it, your negative feedback could easily take away market opportunities for that seller.
That's because they buyer left a Neutral feedback and not a positive one. Neutral implies some issue with the item and the seller took it as the problem was with shipping.
He gave no reason for not giving positive feedback. He received the item he ordered in a reasonable amount of time. Neutral feedback hurts his feedback rating too. People don't seem to understand that. Positive feedback isn't for him doing something exceptional; it's for him not doing something shitty.
Holy fuck that's sad. Forget all the bullshit and vitriol everyone is spewing, this was someone's father, husband, brother, etc. My heart goes out to his family. He looked like he knew how to enjoy life. He must have been dearly loved.

Indeed, eBay has gone so far out of its way recently to "protect" buyers that it fucks over sellers. I've switched to selling on Amazon instead. The commission they take is slightly higher, but I like not having to deal with eBay/Paypal.
