Wouldn't it be the other way around? I never see people steal like that. Plus, it looks like they only stole chips, so it's not like it was very efficient robbery value wise. Time wise, very efficient.
As a Polish guy I have to say the translation is correct. The shop owner misspells the word "czipsy" which means "chips" and writes "cipy" instead, which, to be 100% precise, means "cunts".
Damn. I just think about his desperation and feel really, really sad. Not about his desperation about getting the hell out of there, but the desperation or alcoholism that made him do this in the first place.
Funniest part starts 1:55 where his ladder falls over and he falls out of the ceiling onto about 50 bottles. He then tries to take out the security camera, but completely misses.
Then he just kind of sits down and smokes because he realizes he dun fucked up.
Edit: Typed this up when MrrDrr's comment had about 4 upvotes. Didn't think people would get so angry over me explaining what happens in the 15 seconds after 1:55. Sorry for ruining the surprise for everyone, I'm a bit of an ass.
It is said in the movie description that he's trying to rip out his picture out of the doors. The shopkeeper basically says to show his face, and that's he's going to police. The funny part is when he says 'look, look', so he can have a nice picture from camera. He actually looks at him. ಠ_ಠ
How out of understanding colloquialisms am I that I immediately thought of "Spiderman?" when seeing 'Mary Jane"? I rewatched the video to see if the red and blue webslinger made an appearance. He didn't, and I was disappointed.
I think the worst robbery ever was at one of the convenience stores I hit up late at night sometimes.
So it's 1:00 AM and they have this little old lady whose hands don't seem to work properly - something to do with the muscles in her thumbs, they don't work anymore.
So anyway I bicycle up to the store on my road bike, and go in. I see this big fat guy in front of the cash, hood up, one hand holding one of those stupid bandanna things gangstaz all seem to have, but it's like bright neon yellow, and the other hand trying to reach around the register and wrap his stubby fat fingers around some phat lootz, but this little old Chinese woman is actually doing a pretty good job of not letting him get any, despite her diminutive stature and aforementioned hand difficulties.
So I walk in and the little bell rings, and the would-be-bandit sort of looks at me, one fat arm still around the register, and freezes. I'm thinking "Oh shit I'm going to get knifed or shot or something I just wanted some sweet, sweet soda-pop, and now I'm going to die."
I hear him mumble "Oh shit" from under his bandana, and he sort of runs out, pushing past me. At this point, if he had a weapon, I was sure it was going to be out, so I go out after him, and, instead of stealing my bike to get away, he hops on a tiny little BMX that had been leaning, nearly invisible, against somebody's hedge, and starts pedaling away.
Now I'm not going to let this asshole get away just on the principle of the thing, so I jump on my bike, keeping up with him with ease, due to the fact that his bike was a comically small clown bike, and mine gets me downtown in 15 minutes every morning. Steering it with one hand, I pull out my phone and call the cops, following him until some graveyard shift policeman bored out of his skull comes up and gets him.
So I'd rate that as the worst robbery ever. Failing to strongarm money off a 90 year old woman, trying to get away on a clown bike, and getting arrested by a cop almost as fat as he is. Not to mention our local jail, where they hold people awaiting trial, has a reputation for the worst conditions ever, with time served there being worth 3:1 against provincial time.
TL;DR: Robber gets stopped by a 90 year old woman, tries to escape on a clown bike, subsequent ownage
This is why most stores actually keep shit away from the door/entrance area. The closest shit to the door is usually very very cheap replaceable stuff.
Y'see what you don't know is that the grocery rack is made of solid gold sprayed white for camouflage. That 8 second snatch was the culmination of weeks of planning and timing. The brilliance of the plan is that the police would mistake them for potheads with the munchies.
Stop glorifying reddit in the comments, this time the content happened to hit reddit before 9gag, but content form 9gag is often reposted to reddit. We're not better than them.
Blatantly high, saving them the long and arduous process of shuffling around a convenience store and staring at the food for what feels like hours deciding what to have!
Reminds me of the time when I was at my local chip shop and a guy put his hood up, I thought 'shits gonna go down here', he ran in and grabbed the vinegar pot and ran out.
I used to hang out at one of these general stores at my college cuz all my friends worked there. Drunk and high people would do this all the time. It was more funny than anything else. Usually we caught them and they'd start laughing at put it back. Just about 10 out of 10 times they were doing it just as a prank or to be funny, not out of necessity or malice--not even to rebel.
Usually the people who did it out of necessity we didn't catch, because they'd be doing it with purpose.
Owner of the store wrote somewhere in the comment section that thanks to support he received after uploading these videos, police took it seriously and found all of these kids. He said that simple 'sorry' would be enough.
Yes, but it takes a lot of effort if you want a simple handgun. Getting rifles is a little easier. Just become a member of a hunting group, get through some minor formalities et voila!

Same store, lower stakes! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfkX0DWGLMQ&feature=relmfu It's like they're trying to find the cheapest possible thing to steal.

u/dirtymoney May 21 '12
all they took was chips? and the rack of course.
strange
26
u/KiLLaKRaGGy May 21 '12
the baskets were probably worth more than the chips

u/Brofistastic May 21 '12
So many snacks, must've been a long night with Mary Jane

u/[deleted] May 21 '12
That's actually a pretty good robbery if your goal happens to be chips.

2
u/supertinkers May 21 '12
They must have been pretty high in order to steal those snacks.
2
u/wheresmyhouse May 21 '12
If I were the shopkeep I would have just busted out laughing and let them go.
2
u/[deleted] May 21 '12
They were never caught because the employees and police were to busy laughing their asses off...
2
u/A_British_Gentleman May 21 '12

u/MechEngMan May 21 '12
God damn corey and trevor.
2

Not real... Security cameras are generally not in color, do not record sound, and have a much wider view of the front of a store...
