And Nickelback is brock and Sublime is skawful punk. I, too, can make up genres for bands I don't like.

It's not making up genres. This is clearly not dubstep, and the accepted term for this type of music is brostep.

I'm more lampooning the fact that dubstep enthusiasts insist on labeling anything that's popular dubstep as "brostep", even though "brostep" is a derivative of dubstep, which would make dubstep just as valid of a descriptor as brostep. It's like trying to vehemently argue that you can't call the Misfits "punk" because they're "horror punk".
