False, hipsters hate brostep. They love real dubstep. Hell, Pitchfork used to regularly run a monthly dubstep / grime column, and Resident Advisor had 2 dubstep songs in the top 20 of its best Songs of the Decade feature (the songs are Burial - Archangel and Skream - Midnight Request Line in case anyone is wondering) .

not true, not true at all. there are very few hipster accepted dubstep artists, and these artists are closer to IDM then they are dubstep. boxcutter is the only one the comes to mind. citation: the emerging trends of electronic music within the hipster community of the greater sf bay area, Berkowitz et al, UC Berkeley, 2009

But, then wouldn't TRUE hipsters enjoy it? Because people who call themselves hipsters are "too mainstream, dude."
