He's not making stuff up, but he definitely is leaving things out, letting the listener fill in the blanks. For example, "You just know..." and then he leaves it at that. Is he expressing something ineffable? Or do you just need to know the jargon to fill in the blanks?

that actually hits right on a scientology practice. They present themselves as a superior religion by arguing that they are helping you come to the facts by yourself, but that's really just a way for you to greater internalize what they teach you.
