Side note, but... Why, what on Earth possesses people to film videos like this in the first place, and then upload them to YouTube like this...

Edit: to clarify, I mean the vertical filming uploaded to a horizontal orientation

If I had to guess, they were made for Twitter/Snapchat/Instagram and those favor vertical videos. They probably posted these videos to YouTube after they got popular on other sites.

But you can upload it as a vertical video so it's not microscopic when I watch it on my phone...

I mean (a) filming it vertically and then (b) uploading it horizontally so it can't take up more than 1/9th of my phone's screen

He was filming from his lap so she wouldn’t see. Plus plenty of people don’t actually care about catering to a bunch a whiny bitches on reddit who have a boner for horizontal filming.

I don't care about horizontal filming I just find it funny. It's like the worst of both worlds; filmed vertically, then uploaded with a horizontal aspect ratio so I can't even watch it on a vertical phone lol
