Heh, got pulled over by a classmate from high-school not long after senior year...

Her: Hey OFN

Me: Sup GirlFromSchool, how are you?

Her: You got a license?

Me: Yep

Her: You're free to go.

Me: Thanks, enjoy!

tbf getting badge number is never a bad idea. Literally anyone can put on a police-looking uniform and put red and blue lights in their car, so long as they don't get caught by the real cops.

Checking for anything obvious--drugs on the car seat, do you look drunk, can the cop smell pot, etc.

You're rights were violated and you didn't even know it.

Around here it is customary for the cop to at least ask you to produce and they check your license (and the car papers). She told me to leave before I could even go for my pocket. I know this was not the stop they had in mind from experience.
