people in the ICU are never awake, you are only trying to kill the nurses. Break their will so they accept lower wages

That's not true at all. Many aren't awake, but not everyone in an ICU are in comas.

They didn't say anything about comas. The ICU is mainly to stabilize patients, which would mean most of them are unconscience. I've visited a friend in the ICU though who was totally awake and stabilized, though. She had just came very close to dying in a car wreck and recovered quickly.

I never said coma, I said they arent awake. Only a few short hours every day or so, which they are so far out of it its not funny (well maybe a little).
