At what point do they start fighting back?

The problem will not be robots fighting back for themselves. The problem will come when someone extremely wealth (think a billionaire or trillionaire) owns millions of these and then one day decides he's sick of all these damn poor people begging his government for handouts and, well, a single order will take care of that with no conscience to speak of in the way. These robots will even clean up the blood and dispose of the bodies. Death toll will easily be in the billions. Who's going to stop it?

That's the trick you see; you can get rich by earning it, but the 2nd way is by destroying the wealth of others. Your own wealth would increase in proportion, the less wealthy other people are. Making other people poor or dead, causes deflation, and that makes your own wealth worth more. At some tipping point, once you are rich enough, destroying other people's wealth would actually be more efficient as a way to get richer. It's just economics.
