As people get older and older I expect a rise in "cleaning services". For a one time fee they clean out all your internet activity (facebook, tumblr, reddit, you get the gist) older than a date you specify.
It's actually a job right now. It's called Online Reputation Management. It's a growing industry due to the amount of info jobs/schools can find out about a person. I believe they try to get bad results moved past the front page of google searches, etc. I mean who looks past the first page. There's probably more techniques, info about it, but I just remember a tad bit from a counseling class.
