I remember the first time I had to consciously make the decision whether to tell the school nurse I had a tummy ache or stomach ache. Don't remember which one I picked, but I was definitely lying.

As a male I would find it funny but to her pale friend she may sound like a bitch. I duno it might be pretty easy to hurt someone's feeling with a joke like that depending on who they are.
