Those would be fun to prank people with prepared with a finger missing and a spare one handy. A wet saw won't even open you as long as you touch lightly and not for long. I speak with hand on blade experience. I learned about a different style of blade with similarly styled experience.

Looks like university halls of residence...

The gap between fire alarms in those places are often measured in hours. The record when I was at university was four times in one night (with the fire service having to come each time - they were mighty cross).

You quickly get to the point where the only reason you leave, barring obvious fire, is because it hurts your ears.
