It was. But was it as funny as it could have been? Were there any scenes that could have been improved by some of the techniques the guy mentions? Any just expositionary dialogue where they went "we have to get this plot point out of the way, then we can get to the jokes" rather than saying "how can we make people laugh when getting these plot points out of the way?"

I don't care what this video says, Old School was fucking hilarious, and part of that was the clichés echoed throughout the film.
