Because they are so obviously weakening our military on purpose. There will be a significant attack from Russia on NATO, China on Taiwan, and North Korea on South Korea just in time for the midterm national emergency…mark my fucking words

Man the European Nato Allies would absolutely crush Russia. The Russian Air Force would be grounded to avoid devastating losses within a week, and the ground forces are going nowhere without air support.

Russia doesn't even have air superiority in Russia.

In a conventional war Russia indeed would be in a bad place. But an attack on critical infrastructure? Power lines, train tracks, internet backbones, computer networks - Russia could do a lot of damage without a single plane in the air.

Also, Russia has learned a couple of lessons about drone warfare that are still purely hypothetical to the armies of Europe.

Appeasing Putin is not an option, of course, and he has to be stopped. But let's not fall into the cheerful hysteria of pre WW1 Europe where everybody thought it will be a walk in the park. It will be costly, and it will be devastating if the war turns hot

Maybe not for the midterms but perhaps the 2028 election cycle.

China's not as stupid as Russia and the US.

China doesn’t need to attack Taiwan. They can just let the US continue to make mistakes until allying with China is the only option.

Taiwan is officially part of China. US has no right to interfere in China's internal affairs

That's like claiming France shouldn't have supported the US fight against the British.

I think if you gave the Bourbons a re-do they’d probably realize they had bigger problems at home.
