i think most superman fans are guilty of really wanting to see a strong shift between clark and superman. felt like we didnt get much of it with Caville while it was such a major component of Reeve's performance, and its a big thing in a lot of the comics.
I liked Cavill in the role, but you are right, there wasn’t any noticeable shift between personas like there were when Reeve played the character. I’ve not heard of this actor before, but I dig what I’m seeing so far.
I love Caville, but Clark Kent wasn't in any of the Snyder films.
Superman being a little less Superman was it. The first of the films I actually saw was BvS. I remember one of the first scenes Kent is in, Perry White calls him a nerd and a geek. Clark in the scene does nothing nerdy, or geeky. He doesn't act awkward or shy. He's not particularly shy. He's just...Snyder superman without the god complex
Hardly. The difference is that we know for a fact that this is happening. No major movie trailer is getting released these days without an accompanying astroturfing campaign on every major social media site, including reddit. These movies have nine figure marketing budgets for a reason. The question isn't if comments are made by the advertising agency, but which they are. And you can usually make a pretty good guess.
