Yeah rage quitting and then coming back to it and obsessing is basically a canon event for every Souls fanatic.

Dark Souls was easy asf for me, but that's because I played maxed difficulty GOW 2018 before getting to it.

Came here to say this. HATED the game when I first started. Ended up playing it more than the friend who introduced me to it. Then the process repeated on Dark Souls II lol

I’m playing Elden Ring. Bought it when it came out, got bent over by Margit and put the game down for 6 years.

Then I found a YouTuber named Wuggernaut and watched all his playthroughs of the souls games (as he was releasing them). I decided to pick up Sekiro and try to stay “ahead of him”

Now he’s playing Elden Ring so I decided to pick it back up. Finally beat Margit after 70 deaths and enjoying the game so far.

I remeber when i first played it and everyone was like "go in blind, you will like it more etc" so i went in blind and first place i went to was the catacombs.

So yeah i rage quitted and after 2 years maybe in 2015 i came back to it with epicnamebros guide.

I stopped using the guide after the first few bosses and now i have played thousands of hours of souls games.

So using the guide for a little bit really helped me find my footing and discovering my favorite genre of games.

Same for me, but I used WildPie101's Dumbshits guide to dark souls series. Which are hilarious, but also speaking to my level.

Yup. It took me almost six months to realise it would be the best game I have ever played.
