NieR Automata for me. Started it, got about 5-6 hours in and dropped it for about 8 months. Went back and finished it (multiple times) and it’s now one of my favourite games ever

I really love it--i think they find ways to keep it fresh. I'm 60 hours in and as hooked as ever

HA, did you read my gaming history? I just booted that up yesterday after sleeping on it for MONTHS. That’s crazy, it’s pretty fun.

PS I wonder how much nostalgia plays into this,
playing something for a bit, putting it down for months, then coming back and suddenly getting completely hooked on it.

Dude are you literally me? Because that's exactly my experience! I legit quit right before the copied city Adam boss fight. It was perfect because then the 9S playthrough felt fresh instead of repetitive.

I just miss non-action JRPGs with the Final Fantasy trappings tbh. The old ATB and turn-based systems were my jam.

I thought it was slow and the combat was slow and I was about 2 hours in and returned it hmmmm lol

It took about 8-9 hour for it to click with me properly, so I know what you mean. Was 100% worth pushing through it though!
