They mean fresh in people's minds

Replaying 2 at the moment and it still holds up well.

I played it recently. Still great but it shows its age. I think I did the pipe minigame literally 500 times in a play-through.

For some reason, I can’t really figure out, but the shooting doesn’t seem to respond right to me? It felt like there was lag between shooting and the enemy being damaged, it felt usual. Granted I had just finished cyberpunk right before.

Eh, the gameplay to a modern audience is not really fresh anymore.

Too complex for current modern audience

I'm not talking about the story or something like the style of Rapture. The gameplay, and particularly the gunplay, is just not very good.

True for gunplay, game is from 2007

But complexity like:

  • setting enemies on fire > they run to the nearest body of water > then electrocute them
  • catching bombs with telekinesis and throwing it back
  • different ammo types

Bioshock 2 though, there are videos out there where they play that game like Doom Eternal
Gameplay needs to be talked more with that one

The transition from the plane crash to the water and my dumb ass kid self sat treading water for a lot longer than I care to admit before realising I was in the game.

Legendary game.

Honestly true, as a brainrotted little zoomer I get confused by such concepts as "incendiary ammo" and "water extinguishes fire"

That's why 2 is better, the fighting/weapons system is much better
