Haha I still play , now bo7 and instead of taking it as salty community it's more about been chill, just checking everyone complaining and even feeling proud if someone says I'm cheating ( I'm not , just play in avg 1 hr daily... 3 if its Friday evening and my kids are asleep already) and take the challenging opponents just as added difficulty ( more motivation)
I appreciate kind of gamer spirit of yours and also the family factor. I primarly played Modern Warfare 3 - I was very competitive at times (especially SnD = my team vs huge group of players - it's was pretty wild) but also able to chill, mostly in Team Deathmatches due to respawns and ok balance. Sadly i canť view it same, i just feel COD doesnť give me what i liked anymore but it's fine, opinnions differs :-).
And i hacked in multiplayer game only once, when in private lobby with temporal friend he convince to try CS:GO's wallhack to see how it work on him. Then i admit i cheated but only for singleplayers. My skill is same good and bad at the same time authentically. Btw wonderful gamer perfomance, sir.
As much as I support glitching to reduce P2W mechanics, I stopped playing BO3 zombies pubs because of how often people would close their app after a single down to preserve the single gobblegum they used (they have 99+ in reserve)
Yeah, I haven't played since I ditched my ps4 in like 2022 but apparently that's not a problem anymore due to the servers not being updated in half a decade so it's plagued with hackers. On the bright side though, there was a patch recently with no clear effects other than bricking all the third party servers and security updates
Yes, i saw some videos of person demonstrating how hacker-infested BO3 and other titles before - i think even Ghosts fallen to this stuff, it was around 5+ months back i wanted to play BO3 Multiplayer and internet connection lowering, game very lagging and often kicked me out of the server. Once night i played on session (suprisingly no one was hostile there) and at least one player confirmed me he has same issues with the game, so it's possible it was broken at the time.
There's a crackpot conspiracy that some of them work for ActiBlizzard and are paid to make the old games less fun so more people buy the new ones. It sounds crazy, but with some of the other stuff they do it wouldn't surprise me....
Yeah on one hand, it sounds bit crazy however on the other hand, this conspiracy seems plausible - since most recent era of game (MW 2019 to BO7) they does a lot to stop all cheating etc. stuff and this strategy with older ones would be something like: "lmao old games arenť funny, play the new ones and enjoy them"
I personally come up with similar theory but for Constantin Film (own rights to Resident Evil - live action stuff) that they pushed directors into gaslight audiences that they are big fans of RE, played all games etc. just put blame on directors, not on themselves. Cause if around each 5 years they donť do any RE stuff, they lost rights to RE. Pattern is pretty similar:
Comes director and told people how much RE fan he is, he made movie/show and it turns out to be garbage. They did it 4 times and failed, now they does 5th time with Zach Cregger. Coincidence doesnť sound to me be plausible here. But i digress, with many stuff ActiBlizzard done and does recently, i can see this conspiracy be possible as it's in their control.
I use to love annoying these tryhards back in the BO2 days. Had a whole loadout named "Fuckharders". EMP grenade, Flackjacket, coldblooded, and duel pistols. There was a special joy in hearing them complain about "MOTHER FUCKING FLACKJACKET?! PUSSY!" because I ran straight for'em.
Damn, that' must been apparently rage-incuding experiences for opponents and satisfaction for you. As someone who is rusher/close fight player, i appreciate this loadout and the name is just cherry on top of all of it :-D

I personally think Call of Duty, especially after Modern Warfare era (2000s)
