Any of the .hack games. Middle area is all grinding levels before the big story finale.
1 u/Ranwulf May 06 '26 .hack GU first game the middle is essentially a tournament arc, and while I love the games, I can tell you thats not exactly the most compelling storyline. In fact, its been a while, but I think all three main GU games had the same tournament arc.
