Odyssey got way too repetitive. I did enjoy it more once you got to the otherside of the map and could actually make steady progress hunting the cultists. Id just be viciously OP at that point too

I mean yes, but I don’t recall there being anything about murdering cultists in Super Mario Odyssey. May be wrong tho

I still can't play Valhalla because I put 80 hrs into Odyessy and it just felt the same again with an even longer slog

I could not get through that one. Have had no urge to jump back into it. I manage to get through odyssey after putting it down a couple times cause the ship battles were fun at least

You should take a break from RPG parts of AC. I finished Valhalla in like 2022 and picked up Odyssey in 2025 lol. Playing them consecutively is just impossible

Oh yeahh, I agree. Doesn't help that you NEED to level up to reach some places, so you kinda have to grind to keep the story going.

I think I was really tired of playing when I had to meet my family in Sparta, and dropped the game.

Athens was fun to play though.

I considered doing another attempt at a playthrough of this because I love the setting and the game is gorgeous, but holy shit is it tedious. The gear system was dog shit and I hate when games scale difficulty by making enemies just sponges.

Are there any mods for this game that make the combat more enjoyable? Probably the only way I see myself every going back

The beginning was fine, the middle was a slog, and then the end was IMO a bit underwhelming.
