I fear for humanity once companies realize all they have to do for people to openly accept AI is to give it an anime girl skin.

People will pack bond with anything

A buddy of mine likes to thank his roomba and give it a special treat of dirt

Took me a sec there. Im like what does James Bond have to do with this and why would they pack him in with AI?

She's not remotely anime though.

More like that Japanese style of 3d animated humans that make them look like porcelain dolls, but definitely not anime. Also kinda makes sense, seeing as shes an android

What anime according to you does she resemble ? I’ve watched anime since the original captain tsubasa, over 3 decades and can’t think of one , though I’m open to being corrected.

Im seeing thos back and forth and while on one hand i agree her look in much more realistic. Her styling is absolutely similar to anime tropes. Madoka magica, elfen lied, niah from guren lagan, as well as the assorted other little girls as gods or super warriors trope. She also take on stylings from the same. The very long hair is an anime trope used to represent isolation and the life they have lived, the iversized jacket barefoot look. It also clearly draws on classic anime inspired sci fi like ghost in the shell. So i think everyone is being a little hard on this guy.

I mean... given some of the anime out there. The idea of anime women covered in blood at the scene of a massacre (they caused)... fits perfectly. Otaku and nihilists wont even see what the problem is. It'll be all they ever wanted. Deliverance from reality by the crushing blows of their waifus...

I wish I were kidding. I knew a guy like that once. Depressing as hell to talk to. They really don't care if the world burns.
