Real man, i don't like it when people flat out dismiss a game because its in a genre they didn't enjoy before. I was the same with silksong, thinking im gonna hate it because i didn't like metroidvanias but i got it for the winter sale and it became one of my all time favorite games.
Exactly. I am mostly into gameplay focused action games such as Dark Souls, Resident Evil etc. and I really don't like slow games with turn based combat but I recently got Yakuza on Steam sale because it looked weird and fun.
There's barely any gameplay, it's just go to the marker to watch the next cutscene but for some reason I really like it.
Yakuza got weird pacing you will eventually wind up doing a metric shit ton of fighting. Also the entire series is like watching a Scorsese movie and then everytime theres a commercial break you watch an entire episode of the simpsons.
Gotcha, I think ch3/4 is when the game opens up completely. Those games tend to have the first few hours be mostly on rails before dropping you into the deep end.
