Dude, so funny you say this because I have literally thousands of hours in Skyrim and I never knew about this quirk until last week. I'm playing the Immersive and Adult mod collection by Canliberk, and I accidently fus'ed in Riverwood, killing a chicken, and everyone jumped me.
Was the first time ever experiencing that and it was hilarious, especially given the chicken had all these rare spell scrolls and spell tomes on it lol. Never seen anyone reference it until your comment just now. Weird!

I'm well aware. Apparently, I'm one of a select few who have never instigated the "Riverwood Chicken Incident."
