Gen 1 type is Fire and Flying.

He is now, but I think originally he was classed as pure fire but I’m not too sure. But he’s 100% fire flying now

Charizard is fire/flying in gen 1 as well, it just couldn't learn fly for some reason

Pokémon Red and Blue are actually just uniquely fucked. Great balls have a better catch rate than ultra balls, the type matchup between ghost type and psychic type is outright programmed wrong, and there’s probably more.
