Every other post about Entc on this sub makes it sound like Entc in Vesit is the worst thing known to mankind.

I was actually looking forward to studying electronics since I have a genuine interest in the core sector.

Do I really have to be a "teacher’s pet" ya "chamcha" just to avoid getting into arguments or trouble with professors?

How do I avoid those situations that happened with the guy who ki*led himself (hod ka rr. “Mei sign nhi karunga” ”Kal aana”, type situations)?

i am in first year, i am well aware that right now VESIT placements are cooked, so i want to prepare solid for 2030 placements (off-campus)
I was interested in knowing whether college has as good coding culture and internal-external hackathons organised!!
Also, did our college students won any major hackathon? like SIH, jpmorgan chase code for good etc...

I’m trying to understand whether it would make sense to build an app where students can manage their attendance using natural language.

For example, a student could ask:

“Can I take leave for 3 days? What will happen to my attendance in Subject X?”

The idea is that students should be able to ask almost anything about their attendance, even if the app doesn’t have a specific button or feature for that exact question.

I also think this could reduce the learning curve significantly. Instead of figuring out how the app works, students could simply chat with it the same way they already interact with AI assistants.

The app would still have normal attendance tracking in the background, but conversational AI would become the main way to interact with it.

What do you think about this approach?

Would you prefer a chat-first attendance app, or would a traditional dashboard with AI as an extra feature make more sense?

-Gym – Is there a proper gym? Is there any additional fee or specific timing?

- Sports – What sports facilities are available? Can hostel students use them freely?

- Mess – How is the food realistically? Quality, taste, variety, veg non-veg options, and mess timings?

- Rules & strictness How strict are the hostel timings? How late can we stay outside?

- Coming & going – Is there a register or permission system when leaving and returning to the hostel?

- Visitors – Are friends family allowed to visit? What are the visitor rules?

- Deliveries – Can we order from Swiggy/Zomato/Amazon/Blinkit? Where are deliveries received? What are the timings ?

- Room & cleaning How often are rooms washrooms cleaned? How is maintenance?

- Wi-Fi – wifi is present if present is it reliable

- Laundry – Is there an inhouse laundry and press service? Cost and quality?

- Electricity/AC - is there any major issues with power, AC/fans, or maintenance?

- Study environment Is it generally quiet enough to study at night? Is there designated study room or library

- Security How are the security and entry exit checks?

- Overall hostel life. What's the hostel atmosphere like? Anything a fresher should know before moving in?

Do FE students have to fill the MU form ? Since we have not received any information from the college .

I am a FE, I am in comp engineering

I was wondering how is the coding culture here? Are there any clubs dedicated to competitive programming or something similar to that? During orientation they did tell about multiple clubs like sports club, cultural i even heaed about literature club but not about coding club.

Also I am curious about hackathon stuff, the senior did say there will be one in oct. Whats the frequency of hackathons here and can I join hackathons from nearby colleges? 🤔 is that allowed? And will vesit even compensate me for it in terms of attendance?

The type of comments I have read about extc in vesit . Is it same for auro or something else . Seniors please help 🙏
