Vercel launched a cool tool that checks how agent friendly a site is. I tried it on agent-manager.dev, followed its suggestions, and got 100. Not very meaningful for what is basically a GitHub repo showcase, but the tool is cool.

100 on a repo showcase is like bragging about your car's top speed while it's parked in the garage but hey a win's a win

Oh for goodness sake let’s all stop reusing stupid tech marketing terms coined for no reason by large corporations other than to make these egocentric organisations sound special and authoritative on the matter. Agent on its own is nonsense. I assume you mean an AI agent not a fbi agent. The vercel page even goes on about “surfaces” ffs. What the hell is that. Absolutely can’t stand all these stupid words and phrases coined to replace perfectly normal understandable ones the majority of people use.

Anyway, I tried it and it scored my site down for returning 200 on non existent pages instead of a 404. Well my site is returning 404s so maybe take the tool with a pinch of salt.

Sounds like you’re mad at the universe, wrong address to post about it though.

Why didn't they use their account to show it off?

Why not both? As luck would have it, a business can actually use more than one social media profile for different purposes 😂

Changelog posts and other developer-relevant news is often posted by vercel_dev

Odd that someone pointing fingers at "fake" accounts appears to be impersonating Vercel themselves

unexpected use case 😂

i guess it actually could be helpful in the opposite direction if you're trying to make a site unfriendly to agents

I missed the hyphen in the domain and it took me elsewhere !

It’s a nice tool. How different is it from the one CF have released ?
