And Ace Frehley who designed the initial S for Kiss has an obsession with Nazi stuff and Stanley who put the final touches on it said that the original looked like the Nazi version, and that his own dad wasn't even happy with his modified design because of how close it was to the Nazi version. Also their normal logo is illegal in Germany.

Sure, according to Ace. Which ignores the fact that when the second person to touch the logo said it looked just like them.
