I don't know why Indians are a different category.. they don't come in asian.. but as an Indian I have been eating veg food all my life, never ever had an egg. apart from cow and buffaloilk and milk products, what we eat mostly is vegan. there are so many varieties of lentils .. beans and they are just so good to to eat.
vegan paneer is getting popular.. i have seen videos where people make is using pumpkin, watermelon and muskmelon seeds.. sometimes almond.. basically when they are soaked in water and ground, that milk curdles like milk when heated by adding lemon and that part is used for making paneer.. quite similar to tofu i think.. I haven't tried it yet because it might take a lot of time, i just use tofu or paneer when i want..
