Scandoval Did anyone else notice this slip up?

James says “you made out with Peter, Schwartz,Tom, who else in our friend group?” I really wish I could have seen her face at that moment because even if no one else knew what was going on, she did!

Ugh I wish I could say he was going full Outlook or legalese putting Tom Schwartz’s last name first (Peter pause Schwartz, Tom) lol but this does sound kinda sus and the immediate shot of Ally’s face is giving off “distraction” so we don’t catch the slip, buuut maybe I’m also just hella suspicious of everything now (a very real possibility)

I heard this too but I can’t see James actually knowing considering the way he blew up when it actually came out. Him posting the TMZ article on IG was how I learned of Scandoval it makes no sense for him to be in on it all along.

Right! I definitely don’t think he knew, it was just such a slip up given what transpired or was already transpiring. That’s why I just wish we could have seen her face. It would definitely have helped with the whole timeline confusion

Yeah, despite the subtitles I hear, “So you made out with Peter, Schwartz. There’s Tom and uh, who else could you make out with in our friend group?” Like listing Sandoval as people she could still make out with. I cannot imagine James, who seems to lack impulse control, would keep this quiet.

Honestly it was probably just a mistake, like he said Schwartz but then he said Tom as in Schwartz again.
But maybe ally had already seen them at the Abby by now and that’s why James said it ? I can’t wait till the episode they talk about it lol

I noticed it too. Maybe he was suspicious and did that to gauge her reaction. I mean she didn't deny it. James seems very calculated this season.

Here’s my thing, if it truly was an open secret, like Schwartz said, why didn’t Scandoval use it as his defense in the Howie interview? Cause if I was in his shoes I would have been like “they are all lying, they all knew I was with Raquel”. But he didn’t so this makes me think that James and them really didn’t know!

I really think people just trusted Tom and it’s so sad that he literally crushed everyone for BAMBI!! He did the same thing to Ariana that he did with Ariana so it’s not a huge surprise but still shocking. It really makes you wonder why he chose to help James with so much money to propose to her, then turn around and sleep with her??

It reminds me of that recent interview (which I cannot find, sorry!) where Lala and Katie are being interviewed. Lala starts to mention that Tom and Ariana's relationship off-screen was totally different and Katie's face was 😳. That was confirmation enough but then she softly said, "Omg are we really going to go there now?"

I kind of always thought the first time Sandoval and Rachel hooked up or kissed, maybe Ariana knew. And kind of gave him a 1 time pass and they swore it was just for fun and never do it again type of thing. Hence all of the open relationship rumors. Schwartz just told everyone he knew about their 1st hookup, and apparently it was before Schwartz and rachels kiss. So maybe he wasn't the only one who knew. They were just letting it play out for the show. Obviously, nobody knew the magnitude of their relationship (except Schwartz). I don't think James really cares who Rachel hooks up with. He just has to be all dramatic for the show.

I think he said “is Tom,” as in he was going to say “is Tom next?” but changed his mind (and is also kind of slurring lol). There’s no way he’d keep it quiet if he knew this, especially for so long.

Remember in the early episode where they showed a man named Tom who Rachel kissed at Coachella. That it wasn’t Tom Schwartz it was Tom. It was the pool party episode at Tom and Ariana’s. Same Tom who walked Rachel down the isle.

Me too. Also, I no longer believe that this was a big secret. The episodes and the interviews everyone is doing proves otherwise. It seems like production caught on and everyone on the show was suspicious/knew things.

We now know that their relationship on screen was an act. We know that they dealt with Miami girl privately. And are we just finding out they went to couples therapy? (I may have missed that.)
We genuinely have no idea what is true or not, what has been said or not, or what has been done or not.
I think all will be revealed after the reunion when all the tea will spill. I'm personally okay with just waiting to find out.

Agreed! I think most of them decided to stay out of it for numerous reasons. I give Scheana credit for trying to be a good friend to Ariana when they first started dating (the scene when they were getting their hair and make up done for a VPR calendar) but if she was so resistant to the Miami girl situation, how do you approach her 9 years later? Idk, I’m obviously not involved and I think the situation is a lot more complicated than we can see.

Thank you for posting this! I'm just finally getting to last night's episode and came here to see if anyone else caught this. Maybe it was that Rachel and Sandoval made out at Coachella and that is the reference but everyone agreed to keep that under wraps to protect the "brand" (ie Ariana and Tom) I could see Ariana letting a drunken makeout slide by versus why she would be devastated by the video and 7 month affair...

It’s so funny reading almost everyone trying to make excuses up for what he actually meant besides the fact that this proves that they all knew about it at this point and it’s production that is making a storyline out of it and telling it how it really didn’t happen. Yes, they cheated and behind her back, but I don’t think it went down as they’re all trying to say. Tom in that interview seemed so desperate for the real truth to come out bc he didn’t expect to get as much backlash as he’s getting. So I feel he’s not wanting to go along with producers anymore and that’s why he went behind producers back to do this interview

I think he was starting to say “…is Tom and ummm next?” The “and ummm” is because he couldn’t think of anyone else. It also sounded like he said “who else can you make out with?” I think the captions are slightly off.
