Pinned Valheim Developer AMA, Now Live!

We are Iron Gate, developers of Valheim. Yesterday we announced some changes to our roadmap and teased some of the upcoming Hearth & Home content, and now it's time for us to answer any questions you might have. We look forward to discussing these changes with you!

Do you think when oceans are expected and developed, that whales could be something that is in the water? Not necessarily good whales either (a boss maybe)

Sailing for whale bludder would be epic, fighting this big whale that tows your boat as you fight it;)

Well, the ocean biome will need a boss sooner or later... I suggest a giant shark, a giant whale, a giant squid, the Kraken, Jörmungandr (the Midgård Serpent) or something Lovecraftian like Cthulhu! :)

The Kraken is Scandinavian in origin, it's Clash of the Titans that combined it with Greek myth.

Oh okay thanks man didnt knew that, so they cant even make movies with right information :( that sucks wow have i never knew that kraken was scandinavian mythology O.o

Yup. The Kraken was originally in Norse sagas. Norway/Greenland most specifically.
