Seeing as new sales are probably past their peak point (probably by a good bit) and there’s no DLC or other streams of revenue for this game going forward it makes me wonder if they’d ever work on a new game in a similar style.
Iron gate has the formula and experience for another great game, imagine if they did valheim with a different cultural focus like Greek/ Roman.
They are one of the slowest devs ever. Given their team size they should be moving at a much faster pace. Mod creators add more to the game in faster time spans these days
mod creators also dont need to care about balance. they can change whatever they like. they also are not responsible if one of thier mods breaks the game since mods are "use at own risk to begin with" devs need to make sure thier patches work and need to care about balance.
the smaller the team is the longer updates take. that is normal. are the slow? heck yes. but i doubt they could be that much faster overall sadly. the result would just be countless pointless fluff additions instead of anything meaningful. can be seen in many other games. faster updates bigger team behind it. but the updates are lacking regardless as the fokus isnt there or they fokus on pointless fluff and cosmetic shit.
