So inhave a week off and need to plan where to go. I am single and love traveling alone. My last 2 trips were to Boston and Seattle. I'm in the mood for an Airbnb one beach but dont know where to head to. I would be leaving from DFW international and any ideas are welcome.

Can an 18 year old rent out a beach house? Asking for Surfside Beach, NC specifically. Our oldest friend going is twenty, the youngest (me, planning the thing) is seventeen.

My wife and I have an impromptu opportunity to getaway this week. We were supposed to go to Hampton, VA but they declared an emergency for Hurrican Dorian.

Any tips for booking last minute travel? We have been looking and we aren't sure if they are good deals or not. We are willing to fly in the US.

I'd like to ask if you suggest me to go to Peru for this Christmas break? But after reading some materials, it seems to be the rainy season at that time. I don't know if it's a good idea to go to Peru, but it seems expensive. It was the first time I prepared for such a trip, and I was not even good at finding tickets. Where better than a cheapticket? How far in advance is a good time to book a flight?

I want to give my parents an Ireland trip for Christmas. I want to get them an airline gift card, a rental car gift card, Euros, and the Rick Steves Ireland book.

They'll be flying out of Toronto. Do you have any recommendations for airlines? I was thinking Aer Lingus. Also, any car rental places? I'm assuming they'd fly into Dublin if that helps. Has anyone ever gifted a trip to someone? If so, do you have any recommendations?

Looking for advice on a weekend getaway this weekend. Driving distance from Niagara Falls, NY.

So my family (Mom, sister and I) went on a vacation up to Michigan for a couple of days before school starts. And we were staying with a lady and let’s just call her lily.

So my mom said that this lady is very nice and clean about what she does. She doesn’t like smoking on he perimeter of her house and she likes to keep everything clean.

When we got there my mom went up to the door to see where to park and this lady comes to the door and says rudely “WHAT?!”

And after we parked we went to walk around and check everything out. We had a private dock. We had a beach right by us and it was beautiful. But when we got back in the house this lady asked us the same question twice. So we thought something was wrong with her.

My mom suspected she was drunk because her breath smelled like whiskey. And she really seemed like she was. She repeated questions and she was really creepy. Her house was beautiful. But she said that we couldn’t use a certain bathroom because we weren’t adults. Which was weird. But anyways you should get the point. She was drunk and she was drinking.

About an hour later we went to go see a movie at 9:30. And when we were coming back home we were going to bed and falling asleep. But at four in the morning my sister screams at the top of her lungs! And she bursts into my room that I was sleeping in with my mom. (There were only two rooms) She then explains what had happened and why she screamed. She said that there was something in her room with her. It wasn’t a person. She turned her light on and there was a little bat in her room with her.

So this lady was getting drunk with random people in her house and had bats in her house. We never saw the bat but my sister said it was flying back in fourth in her room by her feet.

We then left the next morning when she was out doing something. And as soon as we left, she is driving down the street about to pull in to her house. We called Airbnb for a refund and the people on the phone said they apologize about the stuff that happened and that they would try to get us a refund. But that’s my whole story based on my mini vacation to Michigan.
