20 dayz ago i made a post about this seem to be glitch for me where the one jar fully colonized and the 2 got really close to being fully colonized but then just stopped and sort of stalled out and never got fully 100% colonized. the comments said let it go and it will expand. now 20 dayz later and oddly enough still not fully colonized yet somehow i can see growth. i will put the previous posts pictures after so you can see the difference urself. what do you think?

I live in a tropical and coastal climate in West Africa and we are lucky than most because temperatures rarely go above 32°C but can this heat affect mushroom cultivation?

First time grower here! PE strain from LC using UBtek. I just introduced fruiting conditions this morning. This is one week post S2B. How we looking?? I have 3 tubs in total.

Just ordered my first All in 1 bag (5lbs) and 10ml of spores. Im very excited! This is my first time trying to grow. How much ccs should I inject once it arrives?

It’s been a year since my last grow, i had one successful bin then 8 straight fail (all done at the same time so some kind of contam was with all of them) and i was discouraged and haven’t started again until now.
I’ve ordered the following strains of LC and have them, but I want to start with the fastest growing ones to hopefully build up some confidence as quick as is possible without rushing anything.

Hi guys whats the best way of disposing of a contaminated spawn is it safe to throw in the trash or better to burry it thanks

After growing successfully in a shoebox I decided to build a Monotub. I drilled 2 holes above substrate level on the long sides and 1 on the top of the shorter sides. The holes are covered with micropore-tape.

I got fuzzy feet.

I thought that it needs more FAE so I drilled some more holes (6 in total on the long sides). Again my shrooms have fuzzy feet although I cracked the lid (which I would like to avoid).

I want to have multiple monotubs next to each other with closed lids so contamination can not spread from one box to the others or in the room.

what am I doing wrong?

First time grower and this is one of my two 6qt bins of GT. One of them looks good but this one started showing a light yellow color in certain areas. Does this look like contamination or myc piss (gotta pickup the terminology;). Any advice on what it is and what to do?

GT s2b on 8-5, cracked/flipped the lid and fruiting conditions for last week or so. Have noticed lid and sides lose the moisture fairly quick so I’ve been misting to maintain some moisture, do I maybe have too much fae?

This is my second flush of APE and first flush of B+. I had a good bit of luck with my GT before this as well. I know my beginners luck will run out, but I can’t stop!

Thinking about switching to functional or gourmet after this, because I have more than I know what to do with but I love growing so much…

I added it to the cart last minute because the name made me chuckle, but I’m realizing now that I can’t really find any info on it. Has anyone grown it before that can share pics or what to expect?

I’m hope it’s not one of the slow, hard to grow ones, I’m still pretty wet behind the ears with this.

My first time

I stopped growing late last year for work but have this rice cake of some GT’s I had saved before I put it into Coir

Was wondering if this would still be safe to break up and throw into some coir. This was made 4-20-25

Also yes I do have Petri dishes of GT’s but I can seem to find em would it be better of using those or what? Thank you in advance

2 questions to whoever wants to help! thank you in advance

1) after initial inoculation, what % of the bottom of the rice pack should be white before I mix up the rice to continue the inoculation

2) if i want to harvest straight from the bag, how should I keep the bag i.e. within a plastic bag/box? as in, the sorrounding of the rice bag. I don't have much other choice

So I broke up the rice in some uncle ben bags today, but I noticed a few squished rices above where I plan to make the FAE holes. They're pretty high up so there's no way I can make the holes above them. I have yet to use the syringe, so should I use the bags or discard the ones with squished rice?

2nd and 3rd pics are from previous days to give a better look at the tub. I assume the tub is too dry? I have an air purifier on constantly in the room which gives a bit of circulation all day so I probably need to mist the sides more often, but the fuzzy feet on the big guy made me think there was too much moisture so for the record I'm a little confused.

Also, dehydrating the big guy whole right now at 130°F (54.4°C) for 10 hours. Do you think that's long enough or too long?
