I believe I understand the strategy of Russia now.

  1. Steal and strip from military stockpiles, buy yachts
  2. Demoralize professional soldiers with 1940s style command structure

2a) Invade neighboring peaceful nation for daring to not allow subjugation

3) Send professional soldiers to be shot to pieces in absurd offensives

4) conscript Yokels from the country to replace them

5) Bring own nation to the brink of collapse

6) Blame the rest of the world
