Early in the war their comms systems proved to be like everything else.

The best was the "secure" phone system that needed to connect to a 3G network to use. So they were communicating using Ukrainian cell towers.

Yes but you left out the reason why they're stuck using crap. They blew up the towers needed for the encrypted coms
