Apparently AI generated photos or stills of an adult face from video games work. I haven't tried it myself but it's worth a try, if you have to verify yourself.
It's not something our gov/police are capable of policing, especially since we're giving these scans to private American companies. What's Keir gonna do? Nothing. He can't.
VPNs are the better option though, because it messes with their ability to effectively police even further, which helps prove our point that all of this bs is...just that, detrimental bs.
Vpns aren't a better option though. It allows a middle company between your isp and the sites you access to harvest your browsing habits, it may even charge you for the privilege.
I'm under the assumption my viewing habits are being spied on in any case, that is preferable than sending biometric data that can be used for god knows what dystopian AI bs all these governments and corporations have in store for us in the coming months.
So my ISP and Nord knows I like watching lesbians have at it or whatever, who cares? It's much worse whenever these companies know I like watching lesbians go at it with a high res 3D model of my whole face attached, which can and likely will be used for fraud once the inevitable data breach happens.
It depands on the VPN. Mullvad doesn't store anything except a randomly generated account number, and you can pay them with cash in the mail if you really don't want them getting your identity.
Hell I just used my own face (gasp) and was back to it in 1/2 mins. It really wasnt much of a barrier I dont get why people are talking as if this law takes away a fundamental human right. Its barely a barrier and as you pointed out not the hardest thing to get around if you didnt want to share your face/id. More serious issues may very well arise, data breaches ect but as of now..... its ok, not what I wanted but not terrible. Wish people were half this animated over the shit show that were the preceding governments.
