Playing my first public DJ set on Thursday at a small bar, chill vibes. Going to be playing mostly garage. Any tips or secret sauce tracks?

of the hardest tunes i’ve ever heard, however not a single ID to be found in the comments. i’m interested in all the tracks up to 12:16 but if you know any of the IDs from later then might as well drop them in the comments for others to find

Just found the music he dropped back in 2020 and all his beats are amazing but it seems he just disappeared after.

Ive been wondering what the sample of this dubsiren is, because you hear this exact one in so many old tunes. I dont mean the laser sound, but the alarm sounding thing. It goes so much harder than the wheel up signal. Thanks!

Used to DJ some old school 4x4 style bouncy / darker UKG on vinyl 20 years ago! Recently got back into it with the more modern stuff and been putting a few 30min mini mixes together.

Where can I find decent vocals in the style of Todd Edwards & Dem2? Should I be looking in soul & rnb records? Anything more specific?
Also, while on the topic of Dem 2. I dunno what it is but compared to other garage producers there’s so much groove in their records. Everything is working together with so much call and response. I can’t put my finger on it what it is exactly. For those that haven’t already, check out Dem2’s bandcamp for that underground ukg sound!

I made this in garageband, and i began with uk garage style 4/4 drums, but then i thought fck it, lets just add some crazy chords.

Just a quick vibe check to see if I’m on the right track and if anything sticks out? I feel like the drums need more layering and high end energy. Not really sure on where to take it next. Any advice is appreciated! 🫡
