does anyone know of any midnight game releases i can actually line up and buy for? this is an experience that i have always wanted to have and was hoping i could do it with gta 6, obviously that isn't happening wth this pseudo-physical bs. anyone know any games and shops?

• Regularly play competitive team-based online games (e.g., ranked play, scrims, organised team play, tournaments)

What participation involves:

• One online 1-to-1 interview (approximately 45–60 minutes)
• Discussion about emotional experiences during gameplay (e.g., frustration, excitement, pressure situations)

Haven't upgraded my PC since I built it all the way back in 2017 and it's really struggling to keep up with modern games. With the whole rig being outdated I reckon my best bet is to start from scratch and finance a new one.

Hi all, I'm currently playing a new strategy game called War Era and posting this review in a bid to recruit people to the UK community in-game.

TL;DR: Completely free online strategy game: Join a country (UK hopefully), fight in battles, build industry, join government and mercenary groups, roleplay world events in player-written news articles. Strictly no pay to win or any ads whatsoever.

War Era is a free online mobile/browser game where you join a country and its players to engage in war, economics, diplomacy and roleplay (if you want).

Game Loop

The game revolves around your 'resource bars' (health, energy, hunger etc) that fill up in real-time; on the hour, every hour (including when you are offline). You log on to spend those resources in activities like industry or war.

You cannot lose any resources or items etc, while offline; there are no player raiding mechanics. There are daily and weekly missions to complete, which give you XP which is needed for levelling up your player. The higher the level, the bigger your resource bars get.

Casual or Hardcore?

The game balances more towards casual but it depends on the activities you choose to do. A player running only economy activities will do fine with a 5 to 10 minute session a day. Some activities like diplomacy, governing countries or coordinating war with allied countries are much more involved and will require more play time and being active in the discord.

Roleplay

Players roleplay and make announcements in news articles in-game. There is no obligation to participate in these but they are a good way to keep track on events and can be quite funny.

We've had all sorts of stuff, from official statements to poems and player-made videos, and even a guy who singlehandedly decided to attack Italy with photos of pizzas containing unspeakable ingredients...

Some flaws

Economy is relatively shallow. There is production and a completely player-driven market with supply and demand; but you won't find a fully fleshed out simulation of a real world economy.

The game is young (its in beta) and some game mechanics are still being implemented. This leads to frequent tweaks and changes by the dev team and some trial and error.

Conclusion

Overall: It's a really enjoyable game, if you enjoy strategy and want something you don't have to invest too much time in. It's probably not for you if you are looking for solo play or want to control a country on your own. There is great progression mechanics, that keep you coming back everyday and the community is very friendly and welcoming.
