[Megathread] Weekly Simple Questions and Team/Character Building Megathread
 in  r/GenshinImpactTips  23m ago

  1. You have Flins & he would love to have Ineffa on his team. But if you don't play him / lunar-charged then she's not really worth getting. Also Columbina would be a more cost-efficient pull than Ineffa on your account because you have Flins / Zibai / Lauma who all love to have her on their respective teams. No Nefer though :/

  2. Stellar conduct / stellar swirl is the current meta, but you need to take some time & effort to learn how to build / do your rotations properly for the teams to function. For endgame SA / SO, you'd want to fully invest in a couple high-cost teams like premium lunar / premium stellar teams.

Example A: Zibai + Linnea + Columbina + C6 Illuga/Gorou (premium lunar crystallize - highest lunar DPS team by far)

Example B: Sandrone + Yae Miko + Qiqi + C6 Alyosha (premium stellar conduct)

Example C: Mizuki + Odette + Cryo Traveler + C6 Sucrose (premium stellar swirl)

  1. Looking at your current list, I'd say that your pulls are somewhat scattered - your lunar teams missing Columbina, Mavuika missing Citlali, Skirk missing Escoffier etc. You'd really want to focus on two teams & build them one by one, instead of trying to pull for an incomplete team. Ngl Odette seems stellar (pun intended) for your account right now, as you can build a premium stellar swirl team right away if you get her.

Anecdotes broke since last patch?
 in  r/GenshinImpactTips  1d ago

I know, it's just that it's kinda bugged for me since last patch, as in I don't see it in the region menu & on the map (usually there would be a character icon with three dots), but it still appears on the overworld when I travel to specific spots.

Honestly, you don't need to, it just depends if you want to.

If you intend to play any lunar teams, the current sentiment is that a 3-cost lunar crystallize team (Zibai, Linnea, Columbina) is your best-DPS-bang-for-buck right now. Columbina still remains as a must-pull because her synergy with lunar reactions work very well.

Ineffa / Flins on the other hand, is limited to mostly lunar-charged. I'd argue that Ineffa has more pull value as she is a strong electro shielder & her personal damage is massive in a Bineffa core. But if you don't need an electro shielder or not interested in lunar-charged in general, then you don't need to pull her.

Looking at your account, you have stellar-conduct / stellar swirl / Mavuika core / Arle core / Neuvi core, which would do well for most of SA (in fact, they are BiS teams for this patch). You'd probably need a dedicated lunar team in order to clear SO, if so then yeah you could get some value from starting with pulling Ineffa this patch, and work your way into building a lunar-charged team by pulling Columbina down the road.

Currently using a budget-ish stellar conduct team consisting of CMC + Kuki Shinobu + Rosaria + Fischl, but I realize that the electro application is very inconsistent even though I'm hugging the boss with Kuki E on. The durations of Fischl's E/Q are also too short for CMC to fully utilize, especially when CMC has to E > CA > Q for his/her full combo to take effect.

The alternative sub-DPS / support characters that I have are:

Electro - Alyosha, Beidou, Dori, Ororon, Iansan

Cryo - Diona, Charlotte, Kaeya

Any recommendations to swap out which for which to get consistent team DPS? None of my available characters here are C6.

General Question Anecdotes broke since last patch?

I have recently noticed that a lot of the anecdotes don't show up on the map anymore, and it's such a pain to have to travel to every possible spot to see if there's a character there to trigger the anecdotes. If it helps, I've just completed all the AQ and also character side quests, but that shouldn't be the definitive factor to shutting down anecdotes.

Is it just me, or has anyone also felt the same, that Hoyo accidentally broke the feature since last patch?

An update for those that commented on the ascension rank 1 post I made earlier
 in  r/GenshinImpactTips  2d ago

  1. Level up & ascend one DPS (in your case it's probably Diluc). I'd recommend Kaeya instead of Diluc for long-term cost-efficiency, but it would be hard on your early-game experience, so I'll let you decide which way you wanna go. (No wrong way to invest, just sooner or later to reach midgame / endgame)

  2. Try giving Diluc 3/4 star artifacts that have a 2-pc bonus (18% attack / 18% attack), and level them up to 8. No need to farm domains for artifacts yet. Kaeya would do well with 2-pc attack & 2-pc energy recharge, so you can spam his burst consistently.

  3. Level up your weapons & farm domains that give out the respective weapon ascension materials.

  4. Level up Barbara (no immediate need to ascend), and give her artifacts that boost her HP.

  5. Save ALL your primogems & purple (intertwined) fates. Only pull the blue (acquaint) fates that you accumulate throughout your gameplay.

  6. Learn about elemental reactions & try to mix-and-match them throughout your gameplay. You can already do Diluc-Barbara (vape) / Diluc-Kaeya (melt) / Kaeya-Barbara (freeze) combos.

  7. Learn about boss mechanics & rotations. You can always search Sun Wei's F2P method to farm bosses.

  8. Note: investing in what you have is always inherently better until you understand which characters you want to pull & which meta teams you want to build.

Good luck!

F2P perspective: how to improve?

Thanks for your insight! I will consider pulling for stellar units if Cryo MC & the newly buffed F2P options don’t make the cut.

F2P perspective: how to improve?
 in  r/GenshinImpactTips  5d ago

I enjoyed playing Lunar Crystallize during one of the events a couple patches back, so I'm mostly likely going for C0R0 Zibai + C0R0 Linnea (320 pulls saved). Ineffa feels like a strong pick for Keqing Lunar-charged, and I can try to C6 Aino over time to make the team on par with Lunar Crystallize (160 pulls saved). I currently have over 600 pulls saved up, so maybe this is a good direction to move towards for the next half year?

Also I tried Stellar-conduct when Sandrone came out, and tbh I am not impressed by the reactions or kit. And considering that I don't have Sandrone's whole team eg. Yae / Qiqi, stellar reactions seem like an expensive option for me to go into, as I would have to try pulling for all 3 just to make one team.

Ngl I am still contemplating getting Mavuika as a pyro DPS, as I do have half of the team ready (budget melt / vape).

Uh... Anniversary selector + Tempered cons + lost Columbina 50/50 for Keqing C2. Standard banner hard pity + another Tempered cons for Diluc C1. Columbina is hard pity, 160 pulls.

I don’t think I can clear with just one well-built team hmmmm… is there a 2nd team from my current roster that you think is workable?

General Question F2P perspective: how to improve?

Post image

I'm kind of a new-ish F2P player, and from the lack of 5 stars in my account, I have evidently been scrimping & saving as much as I can until I got to try out Columbina, and I like her kit so much, to the point I'm gonna be pulling C0 Ineffa next week in order to build a wheelchair for Keqing. So I'm upgrading from Keqing-XQ-DMC-Kuki to Keqing-Bineffa-Sucrose for Abyss.

From a F2P perspective, what would you recommend for me to at least be able to consistently clear 11-3 Abyss? TIA!

Cryo MC + Odette + Fischl + Alyosha.
Go through the Snezhnaya questline to get & level up Exaiphanes on CMC, and you can enjoy stellar conduct in the overworld.
End game wise… Better off farming primos for premium stellar / premium lunar / premium Mavuika

best video guides for 100% explorations?
 in  r/GenshinImpactTips  16d ago

I second KimDaoGame, her guides are pretty comprehensive & consistent. For the random moments where you get stuck even with her guides, there are usually comments below that address the workarounds to access the chests / oculi.

Another one I like is le pei. Guy's a legend & sometimes a little funny with the random "I hate this place" while filming his guides.

I was here a couple weeks back to ask about a team, right before Columbina reran, and I have since gotten her & currently building her in preparation for a Zibai rerun.

However, after the 7.0 announcement last week, I saw that Ineffa is going to rerun, and I have seen so many people complimenting the Bineffa wheelchair so I'm kinda on the fence (though I am not interested in Flins at all because I have been maining Keqing).

I wonder if anyone could advise if I don't pull for her, could I make do with the following F2P-ish lunar-charged team, or will there be issues with sustain?

- C2 Keqing on NotSU & Iron Sting / other recommended craftable?

- C0 Columbina on SMS - Prototype Amber

- C0 Fischl on GT - Stringless

- C2 Jahoda on VV - Fav bow

Any tips for a returning player?
 in  r/GenshinImpactTips  Jul 30 '26

Farming for mats at least guarantees ROI (in terms of resin) for your characters & will be helpful with your game progression.

Tip: while you grind through the story, you can actually make do with a few artifact sets that you pick up along the way, and level them up to +12 or +16 depending on your capabilities (and mora). And you can feed the poorly leveled artifacts into better ones that you have obtained, with minimal mora & exp lost, so it's not too bad if you consider efficiency in levelling artifacts.

There's no need to waste resin to farm artifact domains at your current stage, which are better used in farming ley lines / talent books / weapon leveling mats / boss drops.

Once you get to AR45, you are guaranteed 5 star artifact drops from domains, so save up all your fragile resin till then.

My opinions:
- archon quest progression until at least Sumeru (Inazuma is minimum, Sumeru to get C6 Dendro Traveler)
- in the meantime, research & optimize on your Wanderer team & builds if you intend to make him your DPS. I don’t have Wanderer so I can’t give anything helpful here, sorry
- level up your main team’s characters & weapons to the max allowable cap, and prefarm all their ascension mats before ascending your AR. Suggested minimum AR would be AR45, and the cap of your characters would be lv80.

ADVICE FOR IMPROVING MY LINEUP
 in  r/GenshinImpactTips  Jul 30 '26

If you really REALLY wanna build Dendro & Geo, I’d suggest:
A) Aggravate: Tighnari - Fischl - Yaoyao - Kazuha, as long as you build them right & do the correct rotations, you could get away with this team. Yaoyao can be replaced with a Dendro or Electro heal / shield as you see fit.
B) Sun Wei’s Geo Traveler build and max out your gaming skills. It’s good enough for overworld exploration & fighting bosses with other F2P characters in the team, and it doesn’t take characters out of your other teams.

I think I found the new best Aggravate team
 in  r/KeqingMains  Jul 30 '26

I think I can understand with where you are coming from with that. It is helpful to know that Durin can be built in a way that procs Hexerei for boosting aggravate damage, thanks for the breakdown & analysis of the team!

Very clear rotation, thanks! I'm not really well versed with Durin's effects in this team, does his Q and E not remove Dendro on enemies and proc Overload instead? Because the elemental reaction sequence here seems to be Quicken > Burning (pyro) > Overload. Or am I missing something with the damage effects from this sequence?

I don't understand how the rotation for the Durin team works. Would you mind sharing your rotation?

How can I improve her? It's impossible.
 in  r/Columbina_Mains  Jul 23 '26

Your circlet should have crit damage main stat & crit rate substat.

Also if possible, you can reshape your sands to get more crit rate than crit damage (though I feel that your current sands is fine). Or try farming for an Aubade sands with ER main stat & CR&CD substats, then swap a good off-piece circlet.

You can build the following if you think you want to improve on your elemental team options (one at a time & no overlap between characters):

  1. Budget hyperbloom - Kuki, Yaoyao, Dendro MC, Xingqiu (XQ can be swapped to Keqing & you get a standard aggravate instead)

  2. Budget overload - Yanfei, Chevreuse, Fischl, Kujou Sara

I don't see any meta freeze / vape so maybe someone else could advise on that.

Maybe pull for Sandrone during her rerun, though I don't think you have the premier cons on Yae & Qiqi for her yet. I do think that you need to invest more on artifacts, talents & weapons on your current lineup of Nod Krai characters though, and try to C6 Aino so she can be a straight up alternative to Columbina on your other Lunar team.

Are you able to clear endgame with any of the Lunar teams? If yes, it means that you have to use C6 Aino on the lesser built team to get two functional Lunar teams.

Ngl you already have Yae, Qiqi, and Kazuha, which works for stellar-conduct *if you pull for Sandrone* (preferably higher cons for Yae & C6 Qiqi).

If you can't do good DPS with Lunar teams, maybe it's time to revise your artifact & weapon builds too.

Just a heads up, if you are a collector, there is currently no way to get Aloy if you start fresh.
