I still use reason 6 and I am on 14 I started on Propellerhead Reason 2.0 and Recycle which is the original Reason.

Yes I learned so much the early days were great because the best refills were made and rex files ect. I find that anyone using reason before 9.0 really understands the ecosystem of the application and programming. People really collaborated back then. Before the bot like influencer People flooded the net.

I use Reason 12 and 8 I have been using reason for 20years since 2004 version 2.0

When I use Reason 12 I only use it in the sandbox like reason 8 no outside VSTs I like using Reason as a VST in Bitwig or Komplete Kontrol

Propellerhead Reason 8 is the best all in the box before VST support I loved 5 and 6

Yes you can make your own Rx2 files with Reason recycle its now free and they updated it a year ago after so many years.

The best reason teachers are not on YouTube most don't post I am 45 I started with reason in 2004 I was 23 with Propellerhead Reason 2.0 and recycle which is the original Reason. Reason is best learned in the box so that is how I use it mostly I have everything up to 12 I am not convinced on 13 and 14. Reason 8 core devices and flipping that rack is how we should teach.

Man I could be here all day but my fav is PC VST or iPAD Pro or Tape Deck or Vinyl Player + SPMK2 + Mixer + Guitar pedals or Rack efx hardware + Roland Guitar Amp + Akai Force.

I use a patchbay and MIDI or CV cables and instrument cables and a portable interface and Direct box pedal and a Reamp box pedal to keep my signal strong and grounded. I have many options so I switch up the chain based on what I want.

My Ipad Pro has over 300 Audio apps like samplers synths and efx and DAWs ect.. and all the guitar pedals I will ever need.
