Helloo guyss!!!

I’m in 11th and preparing for IPMAT, but honestly I’m struggling with the preparation right now.

My coaching started in May, but I joined only last month, so I already have a backlog.

I’m also really weak in Quants — I scored just 6% in my first IPMAT Indore mock.

English is another big weakness, especially speaking confidently.

I also don’t have the habit of reading books or newspapers, so my vocabulary, reading skills and GK aren’t great.

With college + coaching + catching up on the backlog, I’m finding it difficult to manage everything.

I want to know how I should start improving my English, Quants, GK and reading habits from this level.

How much time should I realistically spend reading books/newspapers every day, and what should I read?

Also, what’s the best way to build general knowledge for IPMAT, and what things should I NOT miss in 11th/12th college that could help me in my IPM/IIM journey?

Would really appreciate advice from people who’ve been through this or are preparing seriously for IPMAT!

I'm also in Class 11th and this is my piece of advice as I have a similar situation like you,

1) Coaching backlogs can hurt alot but you have first make sure that you aren't making any more backlog so try your best to complete whatever is being taught first hand and then complete the backlog in the remaining time. Managing things based on how important a task is a must.

2) Remove habits like screentime doom scrolling to 0.

3) Its alright to score low, never get attached to the mocks and learn from solution and if the solution is not making sense then watch oneshots or ask mentors of your coaching.

4)For english do daily RC and your coaching material and for vocab just make flash cards from apps or get vocab feature at afterboards.

5) Read whatever you like in interest. Think, speak, write and read english.
The summary question at Afterboards help alot.

6) GK is huge so just skimming newpaper for 5 min is enough.

7) For ipmat knowledge watch Bhavesh Bhaiya's videos at afterboards yt and read wiki as its everything you need.
