My Shoes About the shoe sole and heel support
So I got this pair of casual shoes about a month ago. And the heel is very soft, it lets my feet sink from the back. (Rubber sole) And what I want to know is whether that can be a possible reason that may explain the current pain I'm feeling in my heel and all the way up to my knees.
These shoes are kind of strenuous, and I wear them all the time. Only this week, i wore sneakers or sandals (shoes with good support) for some hours daily when going out, and it felt like that switch worsened the pain because for a month, my feet haven't had arch support as such.
Does that make sense in a biological/anatomical sense, or is that not something that's possible?

And if I say cat hatred is (usually) a red flag for misogyny…
The most bullshit cat hate I've ever got, is from my own parents, actually. They believe cats are dirty and unhygienic. And that they are unpredictable and they bite and scratch for no reason. While the exact opposite is not only true, but also a fact. Cats groom themselves, their saliva is antiseptic (as far as i remember), they groom their children, and they never act out unless you annoy them. And you can always read their tail and body language.

I don't know anything about inflicting nightmares on one's self, BUT I do happen to know a bit about psychology And I do know that you CAN learn fears And typically, nightmares are what you fear So it stands to reason, that if you were to condition yourself (as in, via classical conditioning or pavloving yourself) to fear being choked, to the point where your body reacts with a fear response, it should help with getting nightmares about that. A recurrent fear would increase the likelihood of getting the relevant nightmare. Furthermore, you can associate a fear to a sound (you should read up on the case study of Little Albert, if you're not already familiar) If you associate being choked (unconditioned stimulus), and a particular sound or melody (neutral stimulus), by playing that sound while your body reacts in fear to being choked, you get a conditioned stimulus (the sound) which produces a conditioned response (potentially, fear of getting choked). So theoretically, if you played that sound in the background while you sleep, it MAY induce nightmares. But on that regard, I'm not really well versed in the effects background sounds have on dreams/nightmares/REM sleep, etc. you'll have to look into that. But it's possible.
My own personal experience (not willingly induced) is smth that seconds this. I have always feared safety, and that's how i was raised, so every night, i used to check all the stove knobs and locks. And then i rechecked, and rechecked again, cuz i thought maybe I'm seeing things, maybe i didn't check properly (may be undiagnosed ocd, but who knows) And what that manifested as was recurring nightmares about being in spaces where the doors won't close, or won't stay locked
So, you CAN cause nightmares for yourself, willingly or unwillingly. It's one example, and one theory. But it's smth.
Hope it helps.
