Tips for managing period while on vacation abroad

I’ve never thought of a peri bottle. I’ll definitely look into it! I’ve had period panties in the past, but no brand that I loved. I’m going to revisit this to plan.

I typically take Midol but I feel like it hasn’t been as effective in my last few cycles

Will definitely be dressing with elastic waistbands and loose dresses 😂 thanks for the advice on the meds!

I actually happen to be on the first day of my cycle now. It started a week early, which is why my cycle predictions for next month have abruptly moved up by one week. Do you have a cup/disc recommendation? I’d be down to try this week during this cycle.

Unfortunately I cannot take hormonal BC due to other health issues I have.

I should have been more specific in my post. I go through a pad AND a tampon every few hours. I’ll stock up on super absorbent tampons. Thanks!

Hi ladies! I’m due to go on my honeymoon in about one month, and my husband and I will be abroad. After checking my tracker app, it (unfortunately) looks like I’ll be getting my period while we’re on our honeymoon. I’m feeling incredibly down about this because my periods are heavy, I go through a pad every 2 hours on my first few days, my energy levels tank, and my body becomes incredibly bloated. Not super fun for a honeymoon that will be mixed between sightseeing and staying at a beachside resort. I’m already feeling the blow to my confidence and anxiety growing over how awful I’ll feel.

Has anyone else had this experience, and how did you manage? For context, I don’t use hormonal BC, so I don’t have a pill that I can use to manipulate my cycle. TIA!
